The comments on the page are hilarious. Most people who say they are "Satanists" are doing it tongue in cheek and don't actually worship or believe in Satan. There are some who do but how bothered some people get about it is laughable.

As for the policy, I don't think schools should be physically punishing children whether their parents approve or not. Different solutions work differently with a child, physical ones should generally only be used in rare occasions or circumstances. It's also important that it is the parent or normal caregiver and done with just reason otherwise it will only lead to fear, loss of respect, hatred, and possible trauma. The school is in no place to be going after a student unless it's to protect others or the student themselves, not as a punishment.
