Shepard Smith Calls President Trump’s Press Conference ‘Crazy’; No doubt a wild-eyed liberal ... oh, wait ...

Shepard Smith, the Fox News anchor, on Thursday afternoon seemed to have had enough of Donald Trump’s slams at the media as peddlers of “fake news” — or, when it comes to CNN, “very fake news.”

“It is crazy what we are watching every day, it is absolutely crazy,” Smith said. “He keeps repeating ridiculous throwaway lines that are not true at all and sort of avoiding this issue of Russia as if we are some kind of fools for asking the question.”

Smith then started to look into the camera and added, “Really? Your opposition was hacked, and the Russians were responsible for it, and your people were on the phone on the same day it was happening, and we are fools for asking those questions? No sir, we are not fools for asking those questions, and we demand to know the answer to this question. You owe this to the American people.”

Smith was defending CNN correspondent Jim Acosta.

Trump is making enemies wherever he goes. Even House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz is on Trump's case now.
Shepard Smith has a very low tolerance for BS and he's one of the more fair-minded members of FOXNews along with Chris Wallace. Those two gentlemen are actual journalists and not purveyors of right-wing propaganda like the majority of FoxNews.

I would throw Bret Baier, Katherine Herridge and a few others in with Shep and Chris.

Shep makes a salient point. The press does have the right to ask the difficult questions. These days however one has to wonder their intent. Are they acting as journalists or just poking a bear with a stick?... Trying to MAKE news as opposed to reporting it. Trumps press conferences are little more than a dumpster fire that he himself starts and fuels. His hostile relationship with the press is due in large part to his own making. The problem is not that he speaks his mind...The problem is what's in his mind that he speaks of.

Our intelligence community has lost trust in Trump, journalists have lost trust in Trump, and now Republican leadership is losing trust in Trump. In doing so, the GOP has now entered some very difficult and uncomfortable political territory that will not end well for the Trump administration.

I would only add that many of us have lost trust in the media as well. I still have a great deal of faith in our intelligence community, however they have a few questions they need to answer for. The leaks surrounding Flynn's conversations are as serious as the content of those leaks. Both issues need to be looked in to.

The intel leaks are simply a road map to what's ahead for Trump and his so-called administration.

Congress is already in self-preservation mode. By that, I mean much of what Trump is hiding can be found in his federal taxes, congress knows this and they're preventing the release - which they have the authority to do, under Section 6103 of the federal tax code. Republicans on the Ways and Means committee voted down a proposal early this week that would have let Congress obtain Trump’s tax returns, review them, make them a part of the congressional record if they so choose, which would ostensibly make the documents part of the public record.

I'm thinking many of the misunderstandings from the Trump White House is a result of poor translating from the original German ...

The leaks are a breach of our national security and might very well have violated Flynn's civil rights. That's not at all diminished by issues surrounding Trump's tax returns.

Trump prefers "unconventional", not crazy. Mein Fuhrer is doing exactly what he promised! Have any of our liberal friends received their "invitations" to Camp Trump? They should be going out soon. It should be fun, look at it as a camp to improve your concentration. Most will experience weight loss as well! Very exciting! Remember pack light..... Enjoy!

Having a politically incorrect arrogant a-hole making positive changes for American is a big improvement over a sterile, PC idiot like Obama.

You can't have it all. Fix our broken immigration system, make American companies competitive again, fix our broken trade deals, do something about the collapsing ObamaCare and cut my taxes. If Trump does those five things he will be the best president in my lifetime. If your more worried about your feelings you are going to have a tough next four years. I'm worried about result.

So far, he hasn’t accomplished any of those things. And the few things he has done have turned to crap.

He can’t even manage his own administration, much less the country.

You are correct though, he is a “political incorrect a-hole”.

He's been in office less than 1 month and the little biatches are complaining about results? Look at the stock market, business confidence is booming. Obama did nothing but threaten the business community for 8 years. He's done more to bring back jobs and keep manufacturing jobs in the states than Obama did in 8 years.

Seriously you folks are consumed with hatred. You are all hoping this country crashes so you can anoint another socialist. Socialists say nice things, they make you feel warm inside, then they ravage the country and blame successful people.

I get it, your feeling are hurt, he says mean things....whaaaaaaaaaaa

The stock market has been the one very bright spots of the new Trump Administration. Along with the IMF head stating that she was confident that Trump would be good for our economy. Americans are going to feel pretty good as the economy continues to mend. What Trump might do is shut his mouth, forget about immigration, and put a stop to loading up the military industrial complex bank accounts. We will live with Trump. But what choice did we have past November. A clown or a criminal?

The stock market went up 13,000 points during the Obama administration. Business confidence is not as high as it was in 2015 (although "small" business confidence is indeed at its highest). There is absolutely no evidence that trump has "brought back" or "kept" any American manufacturing jobs.

Your belief that he will lower taxes, lower the deficit, bring back US manufacturing, bring back coal mining jobs, repeal and replace Obamacare, build a wall (payed for by Mexico) and deport millions of undocumented workers is a complete fantasy.

Time to start getting your excuses for trump's incompetency lined up.

It's the reason the stock market is booming. Obama inflated stock prices by keeping rates near zero, that is a dangerous game, it has created an asset bubble. The market is reacting positively to Trump because they expect a more positive business agenda. Less onerous regulations and lower corporate tax rates is a formula for economic growth. A far cry from "you didn't build that." Obama sounded like a South American socialist.

The only way to make excuses - is have evidence based examples of incompetence which is something the left has yet to provide.

What's your excuse for Obama's 10 trillion of additional debt, his failing healthcare scheme and the slowest growing economy since the Great Depression?
