I just noticed a chart of acceleration rates, on the same web site.

The Model S P100D hits over 1.4G in 1/2 second.

That's the great thing about electric motors. They get 100% torque NOW!!!

Look at the cars that Detroit sells that cost as much as a Tesla and you will see similar stuff.

Tesla just opened up a service center NW of Baltimore I pass during my work up there. May have to stop in and drool ...
