The First 2017 Ford GTs Are En Route to Their (Very Lucky) Owners

Ford announced Friday that its first customer-bound GT supercar just left its Canadian factory line. Yes. They're finally (almost) here.

That first GT, a black model with orange racing stripes down the center, was driven off its assembly lane at the low-volume Multimatic factory in Markham, Ontario by Ford chief technical officer and executive vice president Raj Nair—and apparently, the exec is feeling pretty good about it.

“When we kicked off 2016, we had two primary objectives for our Ford GT supercar—to excel at Le Mans, and to start deliveries before year-end,” said Nair. “We’ve achieved both.”

Indeed you did, Raj.

I thought as I got older, I would learn wisdom and patience, but the only thing I have learned so far is that I don't give a damn.
