Your political ideology as a business person shouldn't stop you from hiring the best person for the job.
Running a democratic government should be no different.

Sadly sitting on the fence means giving both the left and the right side a knee each to kick.

Don't see that as sitting on the fence but the ability to work with an open perspective. Sammy

The connection between government and business is a spectrum rather like that interesting ideological pyramid graphic you posted. Everything government does has an effect on business and, in the USA at least, everything business does has some effect on the government. Business (the economy) and government are two arms of the same critter, the society.

The American colonies broke away from the British Empire whose mercantilist system gave government direct and powerful control over the economy. Here, as Alexis de Tocqueville observed early on, businessmen control the government. Although his personal style is a bit peculiar, there is nothing unusual in having the billionaire businessman Donald Trump as America's Chief Executive. :unitedstates:

You mean independents, not centrists.

Looking outside the POLITICAL SPECTRUM, Bill Gates would be a centrist . He isn't selling this product to just Liberals.
So most business Like McDonald's, don't stop you at the door ....Hold on you a Conservative! Ok!! you can buy the Fries.
The are shareholders, much like voters.... But !!!

On thee other hand Bill Clinton who a Liberal, sells his political views...... iop

This has nothing to do with Trump.

NOTE:  Sammy
We have nothing to do anything with party politics. We believe in a party less government.
The system is old and unnecessary!! And you can't see this on the pyramid!

You also used word "effect" .

Part of the problem is that Government wasn't formed for itself nor for business..... Over the years "Governments" have been abusive towards it people. Conqueror and divide!
