[...] As a reminder, Toyota’s new sports car - which is expected to revive the Supra name - is being jointly developed with BMW, with the Bavarian end of the deal resulting in a successor to the Z4 called ‘Z5’. Judging by recent spy footage, it’ll be powered by a hybrid powertrain with a six-cylinder engine.

My Dad had one of these "poor-man's Porsche" in around 1995.
That Toyota Supra was shooting off like a rocket; ya had to tip that Gas-pedal only!

I thought as I got older, I would learn wisdom and patience, but the only thing I have learned so far is that I don't give a damn.

The 2JZ motor in the Supra even had titanium valves, and it was designed to operate at 500 hp should the customer wish to upgrade the engine at a later date.

I had the same engine in my 2002 IS300 which was way underrated at 220 hp, non-turbo charged of course, and it idled as smooth as silk.

One difference, the Lambo can make well over 30 runs down the drag strip on a tank of gas at full power. How many can Tesla do on a single charge?
